Literary and Feminist Analysis of a Scientific Paper

Due date is negotiable.

Find a paper from the primary scientific literature that you wish to analyze and critique.

Your analysis should contain the following:

1. A summary, in your own words, of the content of the paper.
   • What is the question the paper is concerned with?
   • How is this question addressed?
   • How is the paper structured?
2. An analysis of the central metaphors used in the paper.
   • What social meaning(s) do the metaphors carry?
   • Do they related to gender ideology? Gender identity? Gender assumption?
3. A critique of the objectivity of the research(ers).
   • In what ways does the paper reflect an objective approach to the question?
   • At what point in the text does objectivity seem to collapse?
4. An analysis from feminist perspective(s) of your own choosing.

Your analysis should be around five to six pages, typed, and proofread.
