Homework 1: Due Friday 10 January

Chapter 1, Strange World:

4. 2.6 Write a paragraph or two. It's ok to disagree with Styer. Unless you have unusually good handwriting, please type your response.
5. One page 10, Styer writes "This story illustrates that "explanation" means "explanation in terms of something more fundamental."
   1. Give an example of something about which this statement is true, and something about which this statement is false. Write a paragraph about each, clearly explaining your reasoning. OR
   2. If you think Styer's view is always correct or always incorrect, write a few paragraphs explaining why you think so. OR
   3. If you disagree with Styer for some even more fundamental reasons, write a few paragraphs explaining why you think so.
